Dinner Theatre Menu:
Welsh Rarebit
Melted mature cheddar with mustard and egg on toast, served with a salad.
Originally called ‘Welsh Rabbit’, a witty insult about the Welsh, in that they would offer you rabbit and then give you cheese on toast. Ours includes mustard and egg according to the original recipe
or
Kedgeree
A classic Anglo-Indian dish. Curried rice, sliced egg and smoked
mackerel, served with mixed leaves and balsamic vinaigrette.
or
Steak and Kidney Pudding
An English classic, mouth-watering steak and kidney encased in delicious suet pastry served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
While the invention of the pudding cloth revolutionised English cooking in the 16th Century, the first recorded recipe for steak and kidney pudding appears courtesy of Victorian domestic goddess Mrs Beeton in 1861
Followed in the interval by a pot of our Tea House Leaf Breakfast Tea and our Homemade Raisin Scones with Jam and Clotted Cream
